Thirsty Thursday - science fiction and fantasy!

This topic was a popular one during our initial meeting, so here's a site dedicated to the subject.

"The SF Site: The Best in Science Fiction and Fantasy" www.sfsite.com appears to be a very comprehensive site on the genre. There are current reviews, award winners, "best of" lists, podcasts, interviews, and much more.

I found an interesting article on the site - "Science Fiction & Fantasy: A Genre With Many Faces" gives a nice description of sub-genre's that fall within the SciFi/Fantasy umbrella.

May the force be with you, live long and prosper, etc.

Another good site for science fiction and fantasy is http://www.locusmag.com It has reviews of new and forthcoming science fiction books, news about books being made into movies, articles about science fiction & fantasy writers, and much more!
Take a look and see what you think!

Thanks Andrew for posting this - Most of us need all the help we can get on this subject!

Cheryl's suggestion is a good one too. I've found locus magazine's site useful. Another place for comprehensive SciFi information is a Univ. of Michigan site which offers info on authors, full text books, etc. It is: http://www.umich.edu/~umfandsf/
index.html. Susan C.

I really liked that SciFi site. It really goes in depth into some areas, and because I'm not that well rounded in the subject, it helps me learn a lot more. It seems to be an excellent resource when one is caught in a bind.
